About the Affidavit of Support Calculator™

The Affidavit of Support Calculator™ is a computerized tool of Messing Law Offices, P.L.C. to calculate sponsorship requirements for fiances and close family members. The form that is used is called an Affidavit of Support or form I-864. It requires information about anticipated income, past taxes, and family sizes to determine if a U.S. citizen or permanent resident's income will suffice for sponsorship purposes, or whether additional assets or help from household members or joint sponsors will be needed, and if so, how much. Previously, the calculations had to be done on the basis of the form itself, governmental instructions and tables written in the bureaucratic language of governmental paperwork, and non-intuitive relationships. The calculator is programmed to ask for information in a straightforward way without the confusing aspects. Just make the selections and submit. DO NOT SUBSTITUTE FOR LEGAL ADVICE.
